After getting in Jiuzhai Valley National Park, we took park’s
shuttle bus all the way to its final destination, the Virgin Forest or the
Primeval Forest, along the Rize Valley, at an altitude of 10,000 ft. While
walking in the woods, I heard a baby bird chirping restlessly nearby. I walked
very slowly toward that chipping sound. Finally, I spotted that beautiful baby bird
chirping and flapping its wings constantly so close to me. Then an adult bird,
maybe this baby bird’s mom or dad, brought a piece of potato chip and fed the
little bird. Right after the feeding, another adult bird brought a piece of
potato chip. So I guessed they must be this baby bird’s mom and dad. What a lovely moment! By the way, the name of this kind of bird is Garrulax
elliotii or Elliot's Laughingthrush.
